Frequently asked questions
How much is a car diagnostic on the Sunshine Coast?
Our 30-minute diagnostic is $90 incl. GST, and it’s credited back if you go ahead with the repair.
What does a flashing check engine light mean?
Usually a serious misfire that can damage the catalytic converter. Reduce speed, avoid long drives and book a diagnostic as soon as possible – if the car isn’t safe to drive, call us first and we’ll tell you the safest way to get it to us.
Can you code and program modules after a repair?
Yes – we do coding and programming for European and other makes, for example after replacing batteries, modules or sensors.
Do you diagnose DSG and automatic transmission faults?
Yes. We diagnose jerky or slipping shifts, warning lights and mechatronic faults, then quote the repair.
Is the diagnostic just reading the codes?
No. A code tells us where to look; we then test the components and wiring to confirm the actual cause before quoting.
