$102.70 incl. GST – the Queensland Government fee for a light-vehicle Roadworthy (Safety) Certificate inspection, carried out by our accredited Approved Examiners. If your car needs work to pass, we show you exactly what we found and give you a written quote first – repairs, parts and any extra services are only carried out with your approval. Re-inspection of the listed items within 14 days. Buying a used car instead? Our pre-purchase inspection is $199.
Do I need a Safety Certificate to sell my car in Queensland?
Yes – when you sell a registered light vehicle in QLD you must display a current Safety Certificate (often called an RWC).
What do you check?
Brakes, tyres, steering, suspension, lights, windscreen and wipers, seatbelts, body and rust, plus other safety items required by the Queensland inspection standards.
What if my car doesn’t pass?
You get a clear written report of what needs attention. Our workshop can fix the items on site so you can get your certificate quickly – always with a price first.
How long is a Safety Certificate valid?
For a private sale it’s valid for 2 months or 2,000 km, whichever comes first.
